The UGSA is affiliated to the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society, Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationist and American Association of Petroleum Geologist. These associations offer the largest forum for students in the world.
The aim and idea of the UGSA is to effectively operate these three societies under one central umbrella that will help service the needs of the students to make them a better geologist. It is no doubt that this will ease access to various opportunities for the students.
